Wondering how you’ll train for 13.1 miles by December 12th? We got you. We’ve partnered with Bird to create a coached training program for the Napa to Sonoma half marathon, included with registration!
If you’ve ever run into running questions and wished you had a coach to help customize your training, this program’s for you. Or if you’re tired of running alone and could use a motivation boost, we’re your team!
Napa to Sonoma half marathon training will kick off on October 18th and is designed to give you the expert support, accountability, and team motivation you need to run your best race this year.
The free program comes with 8 weeks of customizable half marathon training in the Bird app, support and advice from certified coach Layne Turley, live coaching calls and workshops, and an in-person pre-race warm up and coach talk.
Who should join?
Beginners and intermediates looking to build endurance and speed in 8 weeks. This plan starts at 17 miles a week with a long run of 7 miles. You should be comfortable running or run/walking 7 miles at the beginning of the plan, even if it’s slow!
All workouts are effort-based and can be modified for your fitness level. If you’re new to half marathon training or getting back into running, Coach Layne can help you modify the plan to ramp up slowly and safely.
The team kicks off on October 19th, get your spot at bird.coach/teams/napa. Questions about the program? You can email Bird at email@example.com.
